Kaizer Chiefs to Reshape Squad: Eight Players Set for Exit

Kaizer Chiefs are preparing for a significant squad overhaul in the upcoming transfer window. The club plans to release several players, with some leaving on loan and others permanently. The list of players expected to depart includes Fiacre Ntwari, Aden McCarthy, Zitha Kwinika, Happy Mashiane, George Matlou, Edson Castillo, Mduduzi Mdantsane, and Ranga Chivaviro.

Ntwari is reportedly linked with an exit as the club has already identified potential replacements among three goalkeepers from PSL rivals. McCarthy recently made his debut for Amakhosi but is not part of Nasreddine Nabi’s immediate plans. He is expected to leave on loan to gain more playing time.

In defense, Inacio Miguel and Rushwin Dortley have become the preferred center-back pairing under Nabi. Given Msimango, Bradley Cross, and Edmilson Dove provide additional options in defense. Consequently, Kwinika and McCarthy are unlikely to feature for Chiefs in the future.

Mashiane, Castillo, and Matlou are also anticipated to leave Naturena. Mdantsane is currently on loan with Richards Bay and is set to be released at the season’s end. Additionally, midfielder Potsane has been placed on the transfer list by Chiefs.

Striker Chivaviro is expected to make way for new attacking targets as part of the club’s restructuring efforts.
