Orlando Pirates Midfielder Faces Lengthy Recovery After ACL Surgery

Orlando Pirates midfielder Selaelo Rasebotja has undergone surgery following an ACL tear. The 24-year-old, who transferred from SuperSport United for the 2024/25 season, has participated in 11 matches with the team. The injury will likely sideline him for six to nine months. On social media, Rasebotja expressed his disappointment: “Definitely not how I would’ve loved to finish to the season. But God’s will always prevails and surely this too shall pass.” He added his gratitude for a successful surgery and mentioned his focus on rest and rehabilitation.
