Mamelodi Sundowns are set to compete in the CAF Champions League final for the first time in nine years. The team, which previously won the title in 2016 by defeating Zamalek, will face Pyramids of the Egyptian Premier League at the 30 June Stadium next week. Former player Teko Modise highlighted the significance of a potential second star for Sundowns, emphasizing the club’s continuous efforts and investments over the years. “A second star would be dope,” Modise stated, noting that winning the Champions League has been a consistent goal for Sundowns. The first leg of the final will take place on Saturday afternoon at Loftus Versfeld, with the return match scheduled in Cairo seven days later.
