Everton is undergoing significant changes under the management of David Moyes, who took over in January. The club is preparing for the upcoming season with plans to strengthen their squad. However, they face challenges in improving their attacking options, having scored only 39 goals last season, ranking them 17th in the Premier League.
The future of Dominic Calvert-Lewin remains uncertain as he approaches free agency. Additionally, Jack Harrison’s loan spell at Everton has been underwhelming, with just one goal and one assist in 36 appearances across all competitions. Despite his versatility, Moyes is considering signing him permanently after the season concludes.
Another player facing an uncertain future is right-back Nathan Patterson. Signed from Rangers for £16 million in January 2022, Patterson has struggled with injuries and form, starting only 12 Premier League matches since last season. His current market value has dropped to just under £13 million.
With Seamus Coleman set to renew his contract and Jake O’Brien performing well as a right-back since January, Patterson’s prospects at Everton appear limited. Moyes may need to consider selling Patterson to fund new signings and strengthen the squad for the next campaign.
