Kevin De Bruyne is set to bid farewell to Manchester City during his final home game against Bournemouth on Tuesday. The midfielder, who has been with the club for a decade, announced last month that he will leave when his contract ends this season. Over his time at City, De Bruyne has secured 16 trophies, including six Premier League titles and the Champions League in 2023. Although City recently lost the FA Cup final to Crystal Palace, manager Pep Guardiola stated, ‘Kevin will get what he deserves.’ De Bruyne will be honored with a guard of honor from teammates and coaches after the match. He will also deliver a brief speech on the pitch and receive gifts from the family of late club legend Colin Bell before taking a lap of appreciation. City’s last match of the season is away at Fulham on Sunday, which is expected to be De Bruyne’s final appearance for the club. While City will participate in the Club World Cup in June, De Bruyne indicated he likely won’t play due to potential injury concerns as he seeks a new team.
