Liverpool has secured their second Premier League title under new manager Arne Slot, despite a dip in form towards the end of the season. With one game remaining in the 2024/25 campaign, attention is shifting to potential squad reinforcements. Jeremie Frimpong is nearing a move to Anfield from Bayer Leverkusen, as Liverpool looks to strengthen their roster.
Alexander Isak, who scored 23 goals in 33 league matches this season, has been linked with a transfer to Liverpool. However, his current club demands a fee of approximately £150 million. As an alternative, Liverpool is reportedly in discussions with RB Leipzig regarding Benjamin Sesko. The Slovenian forward has an £84 million release clause and has expressed interest in joining the Reds.
Sesko scored 21 goals across all competitions this season and could fill the void left by Roberto Firmino, who departed for Al Ahli in 2023. Liverpool aims to negotiate a deal below Sesko’s release clause as they seek to build on their recent success.
