Nottingham Forest is reportedly interested in acquiring Liverpool center-back Jarell Quansah as they prepare for their upcoming Europa Conference League campaign. Former scout Mick Brown revealed that Forest is keen on securing a deal for the 22-year-old, either on loan or permanently, to bolster their squad depth.
Quansah played a significant role in Liverpool’s Premier League title win last season, making 25 appearances. However, he found it challenging to secure a regular starting position due to competition from Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate. A move to Forest could provide him with more playing time and the opportunity to continue competing in Europe.
Liverpool teammate Alexis Mac Allister praised Quansah’s performances, stating, “He was amazing. The job he did with Virg [Virgil van Dijk] is so important for the team because it gives us that calmness that we need to play football. Even on the ball he was amazing. Very happy and very glad for him.” Despite this endorsement, Liverpool may consider letting Quansah leave temporarily, with a potential £50 million fee being mentioned.
