Manchester United Could Net Just £20m from Rashford Sale: Club Faces £20m Compensation Payout

Manchester United may earn only around £20 million from the potential sale of Marcus Rashford due to contractual obligations requiring a substantial compensation payment to the player.

According to existing agreements, Manchester United would be obliged to pay Rashford approximately £20 million to offset a reduction in his salary should he transfer to another club. This compensation represents about 50% of the anticipated transfer fee for the player.

Rashford’s departure under these terms would significantly reduce the financial gain from his sale, limiting United’s actual earnings from the deal.

The situation could influence United’s future transfer strategies and negotiations concerning player contracts.
